When Jonas goes to training the next morning he learns what happened to the earlier receiver in training, Rosemary. Later finding out that she was the Giver's daughter. As they are talking about Rosemary the subject of release comes up. Jonas finds out what release really means. Release means - Quick death.
Key subjects-
1. The game of war. Harper- This sounds a lot like capture the flag. Which I happen to enjoy a lot.
2. When Jonas learns Rosemary's story from the Giver. Anna- I like learning things.
3. Jonas learns what release really means. Rok- The awkward question of release makes and Rosemary's story makes being a receiver seem like a bad thing.
4. Jonas and the Giver plot how Jonas will escape. Anna- Action. Harper- Lights-Camera-Action
And that is all for now. Harper - Folks.
- sincerely
Anna.Rok.Christian.Harper also known as A.R.C.H.
So this makes me think about kids playing war games today- do you guys think war games are wrong? Do you think it's okay to play games like Call of Duty and play pretend war? How is this similar to the kids in The Giver?
